DESPERATE FOR JUSTICE.ORG
At DESPERATE FOR JUSTICE, we are fighting for the rights and dignity of ourselves as independent senior citizens and our mission is to ensure that justice is not just served in this instance but served across the board with compassion and understanding. We believe every senior deserves the peace of mind that comes from knowing their voice is heard and their rights are protected.
In what world are people PREVENTED from defending themselves against someone trying to take their property away from them and DISALLOWED from filing any police reports to assist in documenting the incidents taking place?
Becky went to the court in Parker, Arizona -- the same court prosecuting us today -- asking to file a case that could be heard by a judge and was told she could not do so -- that another deed had already been filed procuring for a third party one half ownership of the land and such a case would NOT be allowed.
Tell me -- if the police will not allow a citizen to file a police report and the court's clerks will not allow court documents to be filed -- what defense does anyone have against anyone that would take from them what little they might have?
The person that laid claim to the property in question handles the finances of a large 'charitable' organization that allows property and even pets to be bequeathed to that organization upon the death of the giver. This person was and is more than familiar with the requirements under the law for the transference of property as well as the requirement for the giver to be of sound mind at the point of such transference.
Is the ongoing prosecution of both Becky and I intended to create a scenario in which we are declared criminals and then to incarcerate us so our voices will no longer be heard?
According to the DEED Becky held, Becky owned the property following the death of her partner. After he passed, his daughter produced another deed, showing that she now held her father's half of the property. Becky never did anything but ask the court for clarification -- and she was not allowed to file anything so that she could get a judge to rule on this issue. Instead, things began disappearing from the property -- without a word to Becky. She tried to file a police report about the disappearance items [including vehicles!] and was threatened with incarceration if she did not leave the police parking lot.
Desperate to document the disappearing items, she put one remaining item in storage to prevent it from being removed. NOTHING MORE. She didn't sell it, she didn't attempt to sell it. Her only interest was in protecting herself. Not long after she was accused of stealing it. She was promptly accused of theft of that worthless old ATV. Not long after, I was also accused. For this, we're both charged with GRAND THEFT AUTO.

We Need Legal Advocacy
13-1802 - Theft; classification; definitions - Arizona Legislature
Theft of property or services with a value of twenty-five thousand dollars or more is a class 2 felony. Theft of property or services with a value of four thousand dollars or more but less than twenty-five thousand dollars is a class 3 felony. By NO ONE'S standards would this ATV be classified as having any significant value.
This ATV was -- quite literally -- junk. There is absolutely no way it was worth $4,000.00. How can I plead guilty to a CLASS 3 FELONY of GRAND THEFT AUTO over an abandoned ATV?
Whatever Happened to Elder Abuse Prevention?
Elder Abuse Prevention: Safeguarding seniors from abuse through education, resources, and proactive measures.
We, in the tiny town of Quartzsite, Arizona, were targeted for police abuse. Threatened, prevented from documenting that was happening to us incident by incident, and then charged with a 'crime' that clearly has no victims -- with no clear purpose for any of this.
The person that started this entire issue wanted the property that was Becky's by virtue of a shared deed with right of survivorship. He died following a lengthy illness and he had -- according to hospital personnel -- dementia.
Another party decided they wanted the property and, somehow, they got a new deed. Becky was forbidden to even file a court case in La Paz County to ask a judge to determine ownership.
This Started with an Estate Planning Issue
To recap -- Becky and her long term partner shared a property and signed a document providing sole ownership to the surviving party.
This is not an unusual situation. The person that is cognitively impaired cannot arbitrarily file a new deed when an existing one, created before they were no longer of a sound mind, is already on file. This should never have been allowed to occur -- the property in question was provided to Becky and no one else.
So how is it that she is charged with GRAND THEFT AUTO and scheduled to appear in court after forfeiting her interest in the property for $20,000.?
Who is it that wants her to go to jail at the age of 82 so desperately that they have managed to get the court and the police do their bidding?
Frequently Asked Questions
The 'disgraced' prosecutor in this case has a documented history of withholding evidence that can exonerate the accused. Her abuse of prosecutorial authority resulted in the City of Scottsdale, Arizona being forced to pay a $5.25 Million dollar judgement.
